All-Natural DIY Lip Gloss

It's super easy to make your own lip gloss with natural ingredients that will hydrate dry lips without chemicals.

Equipment

  • double broiler or a pan with a small pan sitting inside it (works just as well)

Materials

  • 1 tbsp olive oil or other favorite oil
  • 1/2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1/2 tbsp cocoa butter shea butter also works
  • 1/2 tbsp bees wax pellets melt fast
  • 5 drops vitamin e oil
  • 2-5 drops essential oil
  • 1/8 tsp mica powder beet root & cocoa powder work too

Instructions

  • Using a double boiler, combine the olive oil (or whichever oil you choose to use), coconut oil, cocoa butter and beeswax. Boil until it is all dissolved.
  • Then add 5 drops of vitamin E oil. If you use capsules poke a hole in the top and squeeze one out into the mixture. Stir that up.
  • Stir in essential oil if you are using them.
  • Now stir in your color additive if you are using one.
  • Next you want to pour your mixture into your lip gloss tubes.
  • Wait for gloss to cool before using it on your lips.

Notes

This DIY Lip Gloss does NOT use preservatives so it will only last 3 months.
